Post-Remediation Rebuild · All 5 boroughs
From mold removal to a finished room
Most remediation companies leave you with open walls and a list of contractors to call. We are licensed contractors too, so the same crew that removes the mold puts the room back together after it passes clearance.
Signs you need this
- You have open walls or ceilings left from a previous remediation
- You want one contractor responsible for the whole job
- Your insurance claim includes both mitigation and repairs
- You need the unit rent-ready by a specific date
What the rebuild covers
Moisture- and mold-resistant drywall and cement board, insulation, tape and skim coat, primer and paint, baseboards and trim, and minor carpentry. For bigger renovation work, we tell you up front what is in scope.
Why one contractor is better
No gap between the remediation crew leaving and a contractor showing up. No finger-pointing about who damaged what. One schedule, one invoice, one phone number.
Clearance before closing
For projects under New York’s mold law, walls stay open until the independent assessor’s post-remediation assessment passes. Then we close up. That order matters, and we do not skip it.
LAWNY Article 32
Over 10 square feet? Here’s how it has to be done
-
Independent
1Licensed mold assessor
Inspects and tests, then writes the mold remediation plan: what has to be removed, how, and what counts as clean.
-
That’s us
2Licensed remediation contractor
Writes a work plan from the assessor’s plan, sets up containment, removes and cleans, dries, and treats the area.

3Post-remediation assessment
An independent assessor checks our work. Walls stay open until it passes. Then we rebuild.
Why we don’t test your mold: New York’s mold law (Labor Law Article 32) doesn’t let the same company assess and remediate the same project. A company that tests your home and then quotes you the removal has a conflict of interest. We only remediate, so our estimate is never inflated by our own test results.

Post-Remediation Rebuild: common questions
Are you licensed to do construction work?
Yes. In addition to our NYS Mold Remediation License, we hold GC License #626382 and are an EPA Lead-Safe certified firm.
Can you match existing finishes?
We match paint and standard trim profiles. For specialty plaster, tile or millwork, we will tell you honestly what we can match.
Is the rebuild priced separately?
Your estimate shows remediation and rebuild as separate lines, so you (and your insurer) can see each clearly.
